“Follow your bliss and the Universe will open doors where there were only walls.”. ~ Joseph Campbell Life is an easy path to tread when we are feeling well. And a different story when obstacles appear. What happens when we create pain or dis-ease in our bodies? How do we heal ourselves and create our bliss? There are many answers to these questions. Perhaps as many answers as there are stars in the skies at night. From my own personal experiences, there is a fundamental belief that we must accept responsibility for our life. That is empowering for if we create our life, then we have the power to change our life. That includes healing dis-ease. Some >>
The Art of Optimism
In the month of October, the Autumn skies are generally clear and the sun’s light is very bright here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Sunlight seems to bring out the best in our world, shining rays of optimism. When the Autumn skies and the gentler temperatures combine, it helps all generate joyful thoughts. We have had some stronger winds from the West this past week, bringing cooler nights to the Appalachians and the symphony of leaves falling and dancing in the breezes. The hardier wildflowers are still holding their flowers until the first frost, which is expected this week. Today we are enjoying a spectacular, sunny, relaxed day in the Nantahala Forest, listening to the waterfall near our >>
By the Light of the Harvest Moon
The past several nights the sky has been filled with the Harvest Moon, covering the mountains and beyond with it’s huge glowing orb of all empowering, orange-tinted light. Then, as the sun rose in the East, the Harvest Moon, now adorned in bright yellow light, was slowly bidding adieu in the West, so the Sun and Moon curtseyed to each other at Dawn. Cooler temperatures, the harvest of vegetables and fruits, Fall Festivals in small mountain communities, walks along woodland paths; all of these combine to help our world to slow >>

A thought is energy, and a spoken word is energy. Combine those together and you create a powerful, transformative reality. Sounds easy, right? Yes >>
Iris of the Cosmos
I first became aware of Archangel Iris the year after my Mom passed. While reading one of the many books on Angels that were part of Mom’s expansive library, I happened to look up and out the nearby window of my home. There in the beautiful garden was a magnificent purple Iris. Immediately I looked through the book in my hand and found a reference to Iris the Archangel. The words in the book brought recognition, comfort and peace, and a feeling of connectedness with my Mom’s Spirit. Archangel Iris’s presence has been felt here in these mountains as purple colored flowers have adorned the area surrounding my home. The varied hues of purple have adorned the skies >>
