Mother Earth is continuing to blossom and green up the Blue Ridge Mountains. We were blanketed in fog and a soft, misty rain for most of this morning. The rain has stopped and the fog has retreated with bits remaining in some areas. The new series of my photography collection, Eleanor’s Dream, is growing, too. Each night is exciting to see what the dark reveals, and every time it is a different story of colors. It is a beautiful unveiling of Nature’s story book. A part of life, this time of revealing of mysteries. Each night’s story is lovingly preserved in the images created through the camera lens. These insightful images are now starring in YouTube videos and >>
Back Where the Rhododendrons Grow
Back Where the Rhododendrons Grow Music and Lyrics by Teri Leigh Teed © I saw two Mockingbirds today, And they seemed to say, You’ve got to sing your own song. Find your road to happiness, And follow your own bliss, Back Where the Rhododendrons Grow Back Where the Rhododendrons Grow. We don’t always know where Life’s highway will take us, Sometimes through valleys so low. I just know that my heart Will always lead me Back Where the Rhododendrons Grow, Back Where the Rhododendrons Grow. There’s an old familiar trail That leads us all back home, To love, peace and goodwill So come on leave your cares behind And let your love >>
Eleanor’s Dream
There is something wonderfully uplifting about the heralding of Spring. As the sunshine warms the soil and our hearts, the North Wind still howls at our doors. The change of seasons can be tumultuous at times. Eleanor, Queen of the Meadow, the stately Poplar tree who lives just outside my home, gives me remarkable insights. She stands tall and regal, in all types of weather. And she is helping me to feel and know the connection between all living beings. The photographs in the Eleanor’s Dream series are created at night, with no additional lighting sources. And yet, the light is revealed through a simple process. And some wondrous images have emerged. Our world, our universe, all galaxies >>
Winter’s Healing Peace
Winter in the Nantahala Forest brings a peaceful pause and contemplativeness to soothe all who will take the time to listen. For those fortunate souls who take the time to follow their hearts, then Nature responds by opening our eyes to the miracles that abound every day. Watching sunrises and sunsets daily is guaranteed to reset one’s inner compass. Then with eyes to see and ears to hear, the trail beckons to the awakened to walk their path. Joy becomes part of our daily lives, and is shared, and increases. Serendipity grows as the seeds of light are sown. The world has been waiting for this time for many millennia. And we are the chosen ones to bring >>
Dreams and Visions
It is the Eve of a New Year. Time for a silent pause to give thanks for all the blessings received in all the many forms experienced in this year ending in several hours. And time to open ourselves to receive the new blessings arriving over the threshold of this coming year. Water streams from the Earth from underground sources, bringing life-giving energies to all. Fresh, clean water from springs and wells is one of the many blessings of living in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Rains replenish the streams and help create the waterfalls that emerge from these mountains in abundance. To be in the presence of waterfalls is magical, and lifts one’s Spirit. These forests here in >>
