I love this photograph. The colors are so rich in this season’s palette. The golden yellows, reds and brown leaves juxtaposed against the clear, blue skies.
And remember, all of these Eleanor’s Dream series photographs are created at night, paintings of Light in the darkness. Miracles of symbols and colors, attuning all who have eyes to see with the frequency of Divine Love.
The Spirit of Appalachia is alive and well. And she speaks through my camera lens.
Hurricane Helene charged through these oldest mountains in the world just over a year ago, created chaos, and left a trail of destruction. Helene was no match for the Spirit of this place, though.
As many survivors are still being provided daily supplies of food, water, clothing, housing, heating, transportation, it is the local communities, churches who have and continue to come to their aid. Neighbors helping neighbors. It is an awesome testimony of Love, Hope and Faith.
As my dear friend Thomas C. Bell, aka “Bishop”, once said to me, “Sister Teri, it’s what is in your heart that matters.”
Yes, it is.
