The winds are strong and blow cool air from the North. Then the warm air comes up from the Gulf and sends the temperatures soaring higher the next day. It is a time of fluctuations, a time of Purple Visions here in the Nantahala Forest. Spring is in full swing as more and more flowering plants display their blooms. There is, as Johnny Cash so aptly penned in his song “Forty Shades of Green”, a treasure trove of color and diversity here. And the songbirds carry their messages every morning to welcome the new day. Eleanor, Queen 👑 of the Meadow, reigns in regal splendor here in this mountain cove. And at night, she sends her messages of >>
Signs of Spring
Temperatures are rising and fog and soft rain have enveloped the Nantahala Forest during this past week. It is a soothing atmosphere that kindles artistic creations. Nature is changing wardrobes and the metamorphosis is taking place slowly. Many are claiming that Spring will arrive early this year, and my heart welcomes this affirmation. Today is a glorious sunny day and the temperature is climbing. Just outside my window, Eleanor, Queen 👑 of the Meadow, is primed to blossom her Tulip Poplar buds on every branch. Only a few days until the first official day of Spring on March 19! 💐 Featured image, The Daffodils Dance, part of the Eleanor’s Dream series by Teri Leigh Teed Healing Spirit >>
The Copper Visions
Today is the first day of February, and the Celtic day of Imbolc. I love this celebration of the first day of Spring on the Celtic calendar, and the blessings of healing from Bridgit. For many years I have placed strips of cloth on tree branches and shrubs the night before Imbolc, so Bridgit can bless them with her healing energies. Then I distribute the small cloths to friends and family, who keep them in their purses and pockets and in their homes and offices for help with aches and pains. This is an old Celtic tradition that brings helpful energies to our world. We all have the ability to create our reality every day. So if we >>
New Moon Light, Nantahala
In the early morning hours as the nocturnal world starts to give way to the dawn of a new day, the New Moon Light shines softly within the Nantahala Forest. It is calm now, and an approaching rain front looms. We have had torrents of rain cascade here in past days and the waterfalls are gushing and leaping in aquatic abundance! In the peaceful lull, today’s tranquil darkness before the sunrise is filled with soothing colors of silver and gold, blues of periwinkle and turquoise, subtle coral and jessamine hues, and even a splash of white. I am thankful for this time of peaceful reflection that brings such joy into the Nantahala Forest, this wonderland of Nature, our >>
Light of the World
LIGHT OF THE WORLD by Teri Leigh Teed A soft glow appeared at night just below the ridgeline across from my home, for over a week. Lights in all shapes and sizes appear in these mountains. My thoughts and prayers are for the Divine always. To shine our lights in this World requires only Love in our hearts. May the Peace that passes all understanding and the Love that fills our hearts, minds, bodies and souls, surround you and keep you safe, always. Thank you, God.
