Nantahala Sparkles by Teri Leigh Teed The Universe is speaking with us constantly. If we pay attention and are open to the signs and cues, then we can join in the conversation. The photographs I create at night are special communications, and many contain symbols to help us remember that which has been hidden in plain sight for a long time.. Along with my indie book, Mystical South Carolina: A Pilgrimage to Joy, these special messages conveyed through the Eleanor’s Dream series photographs are shared to help us see the bigger picture that is going on in our world. Each person has a unique soul mission, and I create these photographs and stories as part of mine. >>
Angels of Orange
Angels of Orange by Teri Leigh Teed Today the weather reminds me of Scotland. The wind is cooler and at times, fierce. Rain clouds cover the skies above us, and drop rain in a steady rhythm. I have visited Scotland once, 25 years ago in July, and it made a very pleasant and memorable impression on me. It was a lovely, day- long trip by train from London to Aberdeen, then a leisurely drive with overnight stays in St. Andrews, Ballater, with a brief visit after dinner on a Summer’s Eve to the Loch beside Balmoral, and finally Edinburgh. There are so many things in common with the look and feel of these Appalachian Mountains and the >>
Victory and Remembrance
Victory and Remembrance by Teri Leigh Teed Today is Memorial day. In the morning, a thick, heavy fog covers this mountain cove and envelopes all in our field of vision. By mid-afternoon, the fog has dissolved and the sun is shining through the clouds. In the genealogy of my mother’s family, there are many U.S. veterans, from the present to the Revolutionary War. Our “Uncle Frank”, Francis E. Brownell, was the first U.S. soldier to receive the Medal of Honor. My mother was named after his sister, Jayne Ann Brownell. Remembering those who served our nation and placed themselves in harm’s way, this has been on my mind this weekend. Yesterday while browsing through the photographs I >>
The Tree of Peace
The Tree of Peace by Teri Leigh Teed Here in this part of the Nantahala Forest, the Tree of Peace is Eleanor, Queen of the Meadow. Eleanor holds court in this meadow, in a quiet cove surrounded by her family and friends. A sea of trees as far as the eye can see. A beautiful and peaceful place and in this season, a sea of green. At night, what appears as darkness to our human eyes, is a different story seen through the eye of the camera. It is the sensitivity to Light frequency that creates the difference between our human perception and the camera’s image. Even in daylight, the camera picks up hidden images that are unseen >>
Schumann Resonance
Schumann Resonance by Teri Leigh Teed Today the weather here in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina has been exceptional, providing an incredibly beautiful Spring day. The morning sky was the perfect powder blue, dotted with fluffy, white clouds. There were a few dark clouds that wandered across overhead for a short time this afternoon, and now the Sun is setting up a magnificent sunset. The Schumann Resonance has been active today, with Solar flares keeping the energies high. We live in fascinating times. Living in the Nantahala Forest, surrounded by these ancient Blue Ridge Mountains is a gift. And I treasure every moment. Eleanor, Queen of the Meadow, my dear Tulip Poplar tree friend, >>
