The New Year is arriving with blessings for our world. Positive affirmations are being proclaimed by those who hold humanity and all God’s creations in their hearts. Divine Love is at the helm of the ship of good fortune. The cosmic shift that is taking place is one co-created by all of Mother Earth’s inhabitants. It is time for the Great Healing. I choose to let go of my past and beyond. And create my true identity, knowing and living my life mission joyfully and abundantly. Peaceful Nature in Winter
One of the most wondrous attributes of Nature is the peace that abides here. It feels like one of the most precious commodities on this planet at this time. To hear the drumming of a woodpecker or the gobble gobble of wild turkeys is a soothing balm. To listen and feel the wind on one’s face, and touch the bark on a tree connects us to our Creator and ourselves, and to every living being. The trees have their own communication system under our feet. One of the most elegant, sophisticated and yet simple ways to connect to our Source is to walk on a woodland path or sit on a log or rock next to a forest >>
The Gift of Christmas Joy
Today is “Boxing Day” in England. The meaning is derived from the custom of hand delivering gifts to friends and neighbors after spending Christmas day with one’s family. What a lovely tradition of visiting friends with gifts of cheer! The simple gift of one’s presence is a blessing when the sole purpose is to bring joy. Living amongst the beauty and peace of the Nantahala Forest and the natural splendor of the Blue Ridge Mountains is a gift in itself. As an artist and writer this place inspires me daily. As we start a new year in a few days, may we all take time to give thanks, ask ourselves what gifts us with peace and joy, and >>
The Golden Leaves of Late Autumn

The strong winds that teamed With the hickory tree’s angry Pelting of branches and nuts And dismantled the leafy Boughs of many deciduous friends Has failed to remove The Golden leaves of late autumn Who remain at their leisure To decorate these hardy survivors. To the victors! The true value of their victory Rests in the beating of hearts. And souls who dare to give Wings and soar with Eagles. Filled with the Almighty’s love And light. God >>
Fireflies and the Fourth of July
Each night this weekend hundreds of fireflies danced with joy in the meadow and surrounding forest. Some blink their lights, some create a “slide” of light. All are glorious. This Divine light show is beyond comparison. Even though some humans have tried to emulate it with a loud, unnatural display called “fireworks”. The light created by fireflies is a calming, restorative soul light, that brings peace, harmony, serenity to the atmosphere, and to the viewer. These delicate creatures and their amazing aerial displays of moving, liquid light soothe the heart and bring physical and spiritual light to our world. For me, fireflies are Ambassadors of Peace and Love. They remind me of my childhood and the joy >>
