Spring Rising from Mother Earth 🌎 by Teri Leigh Teed The visible signs of Spring are subtle. The energetic signs are palpable. There is movement, even on this cloudy, overcast day in the Nantahala Forest. The preparations are continuing, underground and within each species of the human, animal, plant and mineral kingdoms. Synchronized events are in harmony with Nature’s flow. It reminds me of the lead up to the grand opening of the Chelsea Flower Show in London, when a great multitude of vehicles filled with the vast variety of plants, building materials and all manner of marvelous things are miraculously transported in a huge queue across the River Thames, and the village of wonders from around >>
The Light for All Seasons
The Light for All Seasons by Teri Leigh Teed The Sun is setting, backlighting the clouds on the horizon of the mountains’ ridges. The pale blue sky is clear and waiting for the last drop of the orange colored sun to disappear in the anticipated solar nose dive. The debut of Spring is building momentum, and each morning adds more aviary voices vyeng for their mate’s attention. Each season brings it’s own colors, voices, light. And then there is the Light for All Seasons, which transcends all time. This Light appears in the darkness, guiding us forward even in times of storms. When our hearts are open to receive, the Light for All Seasons shines brightest, and >>
Cool Colors of Winter
The color of today is…. White. As in Snow, blanketing everything in a sea of snow. I awoke to this beautiful sight and it is still snowing as of mid-afternoon. There is already over six inches covering outside, so it is quiet and peaceful. Snow won’t be here long, maybe a few days. The temperature is about 19° and falling. Cooler than normal for this time of year in this part of the world. And the Buddhist monks are still Walking for Peace, now in Virginia and getting close to Richmond. People are lining the roads to greet them. Churches have opened their doors to feed and house them every day and night. The Spirit of Love 💓 >>
River Memories
Today is an auspicious day. The Walk for Peace is arriving at my hometown of Columbia, South Carolina, and crossing the Gervais Street Bridge over the Congaree River, for a brief stop at the South Carolina State House. The Congaree Rings, which are described in my indie book. Mystical South Carolina: A Pilgrimage to Joy, are receiving a special transmission of loving kindness, as the Venerable monks walk the path that Sherman’s troops once trod in the Civil War. It is an historical day that is for certain. And tonight, the monks and their traveling canine friend Aloka will stay at the Lutheran Theological Seminary, one of the 12 sacred sites in my first book. There is a >>
Building Hope
Building Hope by Teri Leigh Teed It is the first day of the New Year, 2026, and we are filled with feelings of new beginnings, filled with hope. Immersed in these beautiful surroundings, wrapped in the loving embrace of the Nantahala Forest and the Blue Ridge Mountains, brings serenity to me. Everything has a frequency and I choose to be around those energies that are uplifting. The featured image for this post shows what appears to be a long nail near the bottom of the photograph. This image shaped the name of this photograph, Building Hope. And the topic for this post. That name feels like a very needed message for our world today. And that is the >>
