We live in a time where everything seems speeded up and people seem distracted by life.
Not so in Nature.
Here in the Nantahala Forest, all is in Divine Order. Summer is in full bloom.
Fruits and vegetables are arriving daily at local produce stands. A steady progression through the Fall.
Daisies and dandelions and so many wildflowers carpet the Meadow surrounding Eleanor, Queen of the Meadow. And wild blackberries cover the hillside outside my home.
This year the roster of songbirds has increased dramatically. This morning a tiny yellow finch clung to a dandelion stalk and swayed to its own music.
There is a nice breeze this afternoon and the trees wave their leaves at us, and dance to the rhythm of Summer.
The shape of time is what we make of it. And if we take the time to admire the handiwork of Mother Nature, then the whole world is made so much better.
