In the evenings the fireflies command the skies over this mountain where I live.
Unlimited in possibilities, they blink and flash, and whirl and slide their illuminated bodies in their otherworldly ritual of courtship.
It is a great privilege and blessing to be able to see this heavenly display each night simply by looking out my window at home. Some drive hours to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park to witness a similar dance of light, and may be turned away due to the large number of human visitors.
The miracles of Nature are rock stars and attract more humans than any pop singer. Perhaps these tiny creatures touch our souls, and stir the inner child within us? And perhaps the fireflies kindle the flame of awareness, showing us our shadow self and our Divine Self, which ultimately leads us to our true identity of Grace?
Oh the revelations of these night flights of the fireflies!
There is a new book being created from my window seat, and I thank my fellow Lightworker friends, the luminous fireflies, for their inspiration.
