The Power of One

“You must be the change you wish to see in the world.” ~ Ghandi
Everyone has a special purpose on this Earth. A random act of kindness can prompt that memory of one’s life mission, and so this simple gesture of goodwill can and does reap remarkable results.
Think about the times some unknown soul helped you by opening a door when your arms were filled with groceries or packages. Or the shopkeeper who kept his doors open just in time for you to purchase a gift for a friend’s birthday. Or the kind lady who let you in front of her on the interstate in 5 o’clock traffic.
These are just a few of the countless examples of kindness that happen every day, under the radar of the daily news reports. Being thankful begets this type of behavior, and in turn kindles the flame of this wonderful pasttime.
If our words can change a glass of water, just imagine how our acts of kindness influence the lives of strangers? A single thought can influence mass consciousness in a positive and life changing way.
Just for today, let us join together and re-member our world as it is truly meant to be.
