Reading books about eighteenth century travelers such as William Bartram can spark our imagination, and lead us on fantastic journeys in our present day lives. Several years ago, I drove to Brevard, North Carolina from central South Carolina with a fellow photographer and we intuitively followed the old trails over the foothills of the Appalachian mountains. Even getting lost was an adventure, and the sight of the autumn leaves covering the hills and valleys like a multi-colored quilt was enchanting. Every twist and turn of the road >>

Time has flown so swiftly this year! It seems like just yesterday this year was beginning, and now here we are celebrating the official start of Autumn in a few days. Changes are upon us and our world. And since we each create our own realities, we are free to create the ones we really wish to live. Clouds and landscapes always captivate me. Clouds, the ethereal creatures of our skies, change their shapes and their directions constantly. And the light from sunsets and sunrises can illuminate them in the most subtle and also the most profound ways. The ways of Nature are always miraculous to me.
