“Where flowers bloom, so does hope.” ~ Lady Bird Johnson
The Nantahala Forest is transforming and the birds are singing and feathering their nests. My new bird feeder is swarmed from dawn to dusk with a steady stream of cardinals, junkos, towhee “teapot birds”, chickadees and more.
Hearts are awakening to Mother Nature’s wardrobe change. It is only two weeks away to the Greening Up the Mountains annual festival here in Sylva, North Carolina and every day the sun shines a little longer and everyone’s happiness meters are rising with the temperatures.
There is something so magical about seeing the buds on the rhododendrons, and the dogwoods beginning to flower, and hearing the creeks and waterfalls roaring from the abundant April showers. All of Nature is aflutter, and everywhere Spring has brought her “fever” of activity and smiles.
It is a wonderful time to be alive here on Mother Earth.
Blessings to all!
