Travels for the Soul

“One’s destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things.” ~ Henry Miller
Thoughtful travel is a pilgrimage. It relaxes and renews our body, mind and spirit.
Travel can open us to new experiences and enlightening moments. Taking a back road instead of a highway can lead us to new vistas, and a more relaxed pace.
Changes in scenery can create changes in perspectives. The way we view our world is shaped by our beliefs.
Who knows what you may find? When I first moved back to my hometown after living abroad, photography brought me to many new places in my home state.
I might never have known that Albert Einstein once visited a local home in a neighboring county, had I not taken the opportunity to see through the camera’s lens.
Take a chance today, Open your heart, be a pilgrim, and change your world.
“Travel is more than the seeing of sights: it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the ideas of living.” ~ Miriam Beard
